Liam & Owen

A cute shot of Owen I got while Cathy was at work.

Liam showing his basketball skills... a prouder father I couldn't be, hopefully he will be 6'6".

My Garden (Year 2)

So I'm in year two of my massive garden that was here when we moved in. Last year I made a couple errors. First, I left three times for over a week and the weeds KILLED me! Second, I planted 24 tomato plants in a very small area which led to 7,000 tomatoes. I think I had at least 1000 rot on the vine because it snowed so early. Well, this year I am a little better planned out and I took a gamble this weekend by planting half the garden (I'm going in two phases this year to hopefully stagger production). I know the seeds will be OK so if it happens to freeze, and it probably will, I will only lose the couple seedlings I planted. Here are some photos... we will see how it goes.

Devotion

Well, you gotta give this kid some credit... he showed a little devotion to the greatest quarterback of all-time.
---
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Finally, David Witthoft shunned his Brett Favre jersey for the first time in 1,581 days.

The Ridgefield, Conn. boy, 12, wore the No. 4 jersey every day since receiving it as a gift for Christmas in 2003. David's father, Chuck Witthoft, said Monday that his son's last day wearing the jersey was April 23 -- his 12th birthday.

Witthoft conceded his son was starting to become more concerned about his appearance after the jersey barely came down to his belt line.

Witthoft first gained national attention three years ago, and attended his first Packers game in December. He's also planning to attend the Sept. 8 game when the Packers retire Favre's No. 4.

His mother, Carolyn, had washed the jersey every other day and mended it when needed.

Misc. Pictures

I haven't posted in a bit, probably because not much is happening around here. I am just winding up the school year and trying to hang on. I also came down with a case of strep throat. I never have had that before and it was quite uncomfortable. Mostly because it was also accompanied by about 20-30 canker sores on the roof of my mouth and tongue - it was quite painful. I did dip below the 200 lb. mark for the first time in a while which was probably a good thing. Anyway, here are some miscellaneous pictures from the past month or so.
