Vacation - Day 1

Today was our first full day in SCROGGINS, TX. We got in about 4 PM yesterday and then got to Cathy's dad's place at about 8 PM. Liam wanted to fish last night but we had to talk him out of it. Today we had our whole vacation in one day. Liam and I fished this morning where he caught his first fish ever by himself, a nice small bluegill. He did catch a nice sized crappie later in the day. Cathy and Liam went tubing on the boat later in the day and then we went for a boat ride to see the sunset. I don't know what else we have to do? Tomorrow I guess we have some blueberry picking. Here are some pictures from the day.

Summer

Niece Anna was in town for a week or so. Liam and Owen got to spend some time with her at Grandpa and Grandma's and she spent a night here. Here is a group photo of the cousins.

One Year Ago

Well... it is hard to believe that one year ago today we got (is there a better word - gave birth, received, had plopped in our laps, etc...) Owen. He kind of freaked out the first night we had him but what can you expect being dropped off in two strangers hands. June 24th we began our trip back to the States with him. I thought I'd share a photo of him in his han-bok or traditional Korean outfit that they are supposed to wear on their first birthday. This is the han-bok that his foster parents gave to us.

Misc. Stuff

Well, it has been a while since I posted, so I thought I would give you a cornacopia of info.

Call: I returned my call/job offer to St. Paul's in Franklin, WI.

School: School is now finished for the year. I finished my meetings with my staff and now on to summer work at school. There is lots of stuff to clean up.

Liam & Owen: Here is a nice snapshot I took of Liam and Owen the other day.

ChocolateFest: We took our annual trip to ChocolateFest (Burlington is Chocolate City, USA) over Memorial Day. We get free VIP tickets which means free food, drinks, and ride tickets (lucky Liam). Liam loves the bumper cars and Owen got his first ride this year. Liam also got to hold a baby duckling and chick.

Brewer Game: Liam and I went to a Brewer game on Tuesday... Nice to be able to witness Randy Johnson making it to #2 on the all time strikeout list and a big Brewer win.
